About the WCET Journal
All WCET members receive the WCET Journal. Recent Membership Surveys identify that the WCET Journal is the most highly prized of the membership benefits.
This valued professional publication began its journey over two decades ago as a single fold paper newsletter Newsline. It later became the quarterly WCET Journal, distributed as an element of the WCET membership. The WCET Journal has been listed in the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) since 1994.
The WCET Journal is a recognised resource and reference for health care professionals around the world. For WCET members, the Journal ranks highly as it serves as a vital source of ostomy, wound and continence care information. Excellence in practice requires putting knowledge into action, and the WCET Journal focuses on providing all facets of evidence that clinicians need as a basis for clinical care decisions. To achieve this goal, the WCET Journal publishes peer reviewed manuscripts that include relevant research, case studies, clinical approaches to patient care situations and summary articles.
The WCET actively encourages its members to share new information, book reviews, abstracts, evidence-based practice outcomes on clinical trials and their findings. The WCET Journal is the only global reference document that provides an international voice for Enterostomal Therapy Nurses with articles printed in both English and other languages. The WCET Journal actively seeks article submissions from our global membership and we encourage you to share your experiences.
The WCET Journal offers an unparalleled opportunity to industry stakeholders to advertise their products to a global audience. By regularly inserting product information in the quarterly Journal, Enterostomal Therapy Nurses world-wide are kept up to date with the latest innovations in technology in ostomy, wound and continence management and care. Patients, care-providers and industry reap the benefits.
